We bought a new tv back in August and it came with a free BluRay player. My husband was soooo excited! I personally had no interest but now I can admit that after several months of watching DVD's and BluRay's on our player, the quality is amazing! A BluRay player takes BluRay movies as well as DVD's and bascially "upconverts" (my husband's word) the quality to the best HD quality that it can.
